Clutch Woes, Bad Noise
Hey all, after taking the car to the machanic and finding out he was a complete dumb ****, I got the car to start. I can start it when ever I want, but I can't go any where.
I know there is a major issure with teh Clutch Area. Right now the motor is rebuilt, new pilot bearing, clutch, pressure plate, TB, RB aluminum flywheel and counter weight, and a rebuild slave cylinder. The tranny was rebuilt recently.
When I start the car and let it idle it makes a rattiling sound, but when I push the clutch pedal it goes away and every thing is fine, although you can feel a slight vibration if you rev to 4k. I put the car in gear and tried to start it, and the car moved. My pedal STILL sticks to the floor sometimes, especially if you hold it to the floor for a while.
I know that I am going to tow it back up to my moms house to drop the tranny, but is there anything in particular that I should look for?

the only thing i could think of is that the master is bad and is bleading off the pressure when the pedle is on the floor. hope that helps
P.S. : get rid of that alluminum flywheel . ive heard nothing but bad news about them

Yup, as stated above Clutch Master Cylinder. As far as the noise, when you push the clutch pedal down, the clutch disc and transmission stop turning, and the throwout bearing is turning. So, I would say, although rebuilt, transmission related.Wait until you get the cylinder repaired then you can drive the car to get a better feel of where/when the noise occurs.
