Clutch Trouble
Any help would be appreciated. About two months ago I replaced my clutch and flywheel (RacingBeat Lght Wght Steel). The problem I have had since is what I guess you could call clutch chatter. Only noticable when slipping in first gear from a stop, the car vibrates and chatters. So I replaced the slave cylinder, it was leaking anyways.
The problem still persists. Any ideas? Other than the chatter when you slip the clutch, going in and out of gear and general shifting is effortless. Clutch pedal feels good and it holds when accelerating. It's a '86 n/a. Thanks.

Going through similar problems myself. It may be an improper clutch install. First, make sure that the auto trans counterweight from the same year as your engine rotors was installed with your flywheel (to maintain balance). If that's ok, remove the clutch inspection cover and check the alignment pins (3 of them) and bolts (6 of them) on the flywheel to see if they are all tight. Since your slave was leaking, there may be fluid on the clutch disc. Aside from those things, check your engine mounts and trans mounts. Those tend to cause vibrations when worn.
