clutch removal

is there any way to remove the clutch/pressure plate without having a alignment tool to support everything? Im tryin to get everything apart and i cant find one at all the autoparts stores i called.

yeah if you have a buddy just have him hold it up while you unbolt everything... that was how I did it but I was lucky enough to find a lift to work on... the alignment tool is mainly for installation... just trying to help lates

my mentor, used to say the easiest way is to lift the car, unscew all the blots till you have enough room to work in and then do what you have to, he said that you dont even have to fully disconect the trans.

he's always right so i wouldnt doublt his knowledge.

plus hes so freakin old that he was a teen when all they had was carburators
