Unhappy Clutch problem.

Well, the clutch was feeling funny for a while, then I had the car sitting for a couple days, then went out to move it and the car wouldn't move. Clutch didn't seem to catch or something. Anyways, I checked the clutch fluid and it was very dark and dirty and it was below the min line. The clutch still feels pressurized and it doesn't sit on the floor or anything. I'm almost positive it's not a problem with the clutch itself wearing or anything because it happened quickly, I don't drive it every day, it sat for a couple days and the problem got worse without driving or using the clutch plate itself.

Does this sound like I need to bleed the clutch system? I have a Haynes manual and I know about the FSM.

Maybe theres air in the system. You should flush out that nasty old fluid and see what kind of feedback you get in return. Check your clutch line too for any leaks or swelling. Good luck.

Dark/black clutch fluid could also point towards master/slave clutch cylinders going bad.
