Clutch not fully engauging.

I was driving the other night when my clutch stopped fully engauging.

What is happening is when I push down on the clutch there is no pressure half way down and then it starts to engauge the other halfway down so my gears are grinding and I can't even put it in reverse.

My clutch fluid is above the min. mark on the reservoir and I can't see any leaks coming from the master cylinder. Do I need to remove the clutch master cylinder to see if it's leaking? What else should I check?

Could be the piston in either the master or slave is sticking.
