clutch has no pressure (searched)
my clutch stated sticking to the floor every now and then, with no leaks, so i got rebuild kits, and installed them. now i cant get the clutch to have any pressure. it just sticks to the floor. i bled it like every other topic like this one said to, with no results. do i need all new cylinders? or is something else the problem?
btw i have an 87 n/a if it makes any difference.
thanks.

My '88 verts clutch pedal just started doing the same thing, sticking once in a while. Have to tap it or push it from behind and it pops back up. Checked for leaks and didn't see any, and the clutch plate isn't slipping. I know it can't be as simple as adjusting the play in the pedal and the helper spring and lith grease, so it looks like replacing the master/slave is
going to happen from what I've read doing searches (sounds like rebuilding doesn't last).

happened to me a few weeks ago. the rear seal on the clutch master cylinder was leaking so i replaced it and the slave cylinder. works great now. I ordered the stuff from www.victoriabritish.com part numbers are 63-315 for the clutch master cylinder and 63-214 for the slave cylinder on a n/a or 63-215 for a turbo II. order a cataloge also when you order from them

I just replaced mine, and it took many, many pumps of the pedal before it expelled enough air to begin building a firm pedal. But after several minutes of bleeding, I now have the usual firm pedal. Just keep at it, and be sure you're doing it correctly. Also, the pedal will stay on the floor after you open the bleeder valve until you build enough pressure, so just lift it up and start over until the pressure builds.
