Clunking sound from front suspension after wheel change?
Car drove flawlessly before swapping all 4 wheels (had spare set with good tires in garage, previous to buying this car), and after there is a sound coming from the front drivers side, sorta like a drying machine clunking.. could I have broken the wheel bearing loose while loosening or tightining the lugnuts?
If I drive smoothly, slow transitions and light acceleration it does not appear, but sometimes clunks when turning left.
It happened today, and I only drove the car home as to not make it worse, any ideas would be greatly appreaciated.

Did u jack it up and take off the wheel? It could be something that u will be able to see right away. Theres a number of possibilities look and see if u can eliminate some of them. Good luck.

Everything looks normal, nothing is loose. I took both wheels off and nothing seems out of place, maybe the power steering rack?
I don't see how something could have broken from simply changing tires..

Are both sets FC wheels?
My friend had the same problem with his car (not an FC). After he switched wheels he had a clunk. He retorqued all the wheels, and even had them balanced - no difference. Put the old wheels back on, and it went away. The problem: The lug nuts were made for the original wheels, which had a thick flange. With the new wheels on, the lug nuts were bottoming out on the studs before they had really hit the wheel. The result was the the wheels weren't being held tightly against the hub - even though the lug nuts were torqued properly, and the wheels were balanced. Make sure that the nuts mate properly with the wheels.
Try putting your old wheels back on the front and see if there is a difference.

Lug nuts are tight at all 4 corners, both sets of wheels were the same 89+ mesh TurboII/GTUs wheels, only thing different were going from Bridgestone 940's to RE730.
Car seems to handle fine regardless of the noise, although it is VERY loud and obviously there is somethign very wrong. I will investigate further, thanks.
