I have recently started hearing a clicking sound while braking and turning. I found this thread:

and was wondering if it is possible that this could be the problem. The problems described in this thread are similar to the ones that i hear, most specifically the "crunching sound". The main reason I ask though is because I did not see anything about clicking while turning, which happens as frequently as the braking problem. Just wondering what you guys think.

 

I had a problem with my pad spring coming out of place, and it would make a clicking sound when I would brake. Take your wheel off if you can tell which side it's coming from, and look at the caliper and see if a spring has come out of place.
