CLEAR turn signals
i realize that 89-91 FC's have the clear plastic so it looks like the turn signal is clear, but once the lights are on it is yellow.
i took the two screws out and looked at it and wasnt sure if there is a way to take it apart and get the yellow part out??
is it a yellow bulb or what??
some of you might think it is rice to have clear turn signals but i think that is something that actually looks nice.
so is it possible to have clear turn signals even w/ lights on??

Mine had an orange plastic insert glued into the clear outer lense. 30 sec with a screwdriver and it was gone. Replaced the clear bulbs with orange ones. Does this sound like what you've got?

i think that is right because when i look closely through the clear plastic i see orange.
i thought the 86-88 had orange plastic though??
so anyway for my 90 i can pull it apart and take that orange thing glued in there out???
and what color of bulb does it have??

They'll pry apart - you just have to get it started a bit so that you can get something thin and strong in the gap (I used a small screwdriver). Don't get carried away, just twist the screwdriver to get a bit more to separate then get another screwdriver (a little bigger) to take the original area using the smaller screwdriver to continue the separation.
I put Toucan Xenon's in mine and sealed them back up with a clear silicone weather sealant. They now blink hyper-white.

If you just want to change the bulb color you don't need to pry anything apart. I only did that in order to put the Corksport front clears on. The fronts are not worth it - they look very much like stock 89-91. (although since my old ones were weathered it did improve the appearance)
The clears for the side markers look MUCH better. At certain angles there's a silvery-white reflection that shines off of them, but I personally don't think they'd look good on too many colors. My car's white so they tie in nicely, but I think they'd also look good on black or charcoal.
