cleaning out ignition coils?
Hey, my car keeps misfiring at higher RPMs and idles like ****..not to meantion not as much power..and when i keep taking off the plug wire to the Trailing 2 coil, it always spills out with corrosion, and the plug metal has a lot of corrosion on it too. Anyone know how i can clean it out, it keeps getting more corroded..how is that happening?

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
clean it out good with some brake cleaner, and a little fine sand paper, then re-instert the plug wire with a little condutive grease on the end (being careful to avoid getting any conductive grease on the boot).

yeah, i just drove it around for an hour to go down to manassas to inspect an eclipse gsx cuz my friend wants to buy it lol. the idle honestly bogs about 200 rpm and sounds like soul assassins bridge ported motor. it constantly spits out a small amount (visible but not horrible) amount of smoke that smells strongly of fuel. Midrange isnt effected much, but when flooring it, around 6500+ rpm the sucker starts bogging like no other. vacuum leak, or not getting enough spark/

you think the TPS could be a culprit? It did this before when i got my MP and put the new fuel pump b4..after a while it just stops and runs normal.
