Cleaning engine bay

After using Gunk degreaser (WORST PRODUCT EVER), a brown ****-coloured residue appeared EVERYWHERe in my engine bay, and i pressurewashed the **** out of it, and still nothing.

So i went out today and picked up a bottle of Castrol SuperClean. Has anyone used this product? is it any good?

I've used Simple Green before but i found that unless you scrub the area you're cleaning, it does nothing.

I heard superclean was some strong *** ****. I just got my motor out and I'm going to clean my engine bay while I'm waiting for parts to show up. I was going to try to use that super clean to see how good it is. I have never heard any one complain that it wasn't any good.

If you want something that will clean without scrubbing, get about 5 cans of easy-off oven cleaner, but make sure not to spray it on any paint on the engine, it will eat it straight off. But it didn't eat the paint ouf of my engine bay. So if you do use that stuff, test it on some spots that are hard to see. And it will clean with very little or no scrubbing depending on how thick the grease is. Also you can buy it at Target and Wally fart (Wal-Mart)

I think I used Super Clean before, and it was strong, but I wasn't greatly impressed, I like stuf that is so strong it makes you choke if you break the fumes in by accident (oven cleaner!!). I used the oven cleaner to clean my engine when it was out of my car, and it eat all the paint straight off the motor, but the bad thing was that it started to ixidize the rotor housings, very fast, and right in front of your eyes. So if you do spray the engine make sure you have some 500 degree clean coat and a rag to dry the engine so you can paint it.
