it is a nice car but it has an assload of miles for a rare car, which would depreciate it alot. all of his add ons aren't worth anything to the value, they may have actually hurt it. nice but it will take him some time to find a rotary enthusiast willing to pay that much for an FC.
i just want his instrument cluster..

Ok now Ill do anything I want to my 10th AE because even if I was really, really down and out, I still wouldnt sell it. But this guy really has lost his mind for modding out a car like that, THEN PUTTING THAT MANY MILES ON IT!!! OMG, then trying to sell it. Just my .02!!!

Car looks familiar to me. Mine isn't a TII though. I run 3 different styles of wheels, the white wheels like my avatar, some old style wire mesh wheels and some Porsche 968 phone dial style wheels. Oh yeah I added a functional "ricer" rear wing because I only race my car.

Before you guys get all bent out of shape, I would like to point out that this car is NOT some special model produced by Mazda. The Halsmer kit is simply an aftermarket package that was authorized by Mazda, and you could get one put on your car right now if they are still in business and offering the package. Therefore, you GTUs and 10AE owners have no reason to be jealous, and you guys who think the owner destroyed or devalued the car can sleep at night knowing that he simply added more aftermarket products to the car.
BTW, I think the car looks pretty nice.

It sounds like a great "all around" car. There are purposeful mods pretty much everywhere with quality parts but nothing is really crazy or over the top. If I had all the $ in the world, I'd ****** it up along with a JDM FB turbo, a mint AE, a GTUs, a Cosmo, and a 99 spec FD All perfect condition of course, with memorabilia scattered about (akin to Leno or Seinfeld hehe)

Hmm...guess there is another "Halsmersport" look-a-like in SF too. Here's Jason's car, which also has similar engine mods.

Wow, that's a sweet ride though... hmm neat that it had a front mounted intercooler stock for it. Yeah, it does kill the value that he modded it... but hey, I think street-porting it was a good idea since mine is and I can say it has benefits. Just makes your miles per gallon real poopy. I get like 13mpg... But if I had the cash, I'd buy it off him for maybe 8000, no more though.
EDIT: Oh, I didn't realize that was an "authorized aftermarket" thing Mazda did with Halmsersport. So I guess it's technically incorrect to say the front mount was stock. Anyways, it's still cool!
