im need of new seats. i was think about picking up some f1 specs but im open to suggestions.

what do you guys think? and would i need to get new seat rails? and if so who makes them and where can i get them?

you would need new rails. you can make some, hack up your stock ones or spend a lot of money on aftermarket ones.

the rails are specific to each chassis. there is no universal bracket that will mount to any car without modification. you would have to ask the seller if the bracket is universal or not. some good aftermarket rails (bride, sparco, ect.) are gonna cost about $200-$300.

edit: i see the brackets on the auction. thoes will not mount in the stock location. you could probably drill some holes in the floor to mount them if you wanted to.

i like the Bride copies in black. I don't know how comfortable I'd feel about the FG copies. wouldn't they break easily?

Don't know anything about the seat's quality but for $200 shipping (apiece!) they'd better be delivering them directly into my car's cabin.

I had two stock seats (much heavier than these and included the seat rails) shipped from North Carolina to Denver for $76 via UPS.

Half of these eBay stores seem to disguise the true cost of their merchandise by lowering the sale price and artificially inflating the shipping fee.

Meh.
