CHEAPEST place to purchase a starter?(need a fast answer please)

should i just go to autozone, or off the internet? i REALLY can't wait for it to get here if i buy it online...

what happens is it clicks and then grinds... before, it just clicked a time or two before i could start it.

i guess my alternative question would be should i even replace it? or just clean those two screws that someone said in another post... it's dark over here now, so i can't really check and see what's wrong. i need to hurry and fix it though. it's my daily driver.

88 gxl

thanks guys

Beaters are life savers when you have to order parts online. I would check out Nopi they have great deals on stuff.

If the starter would just click when attempting to start and would take several attempts, click, click, varoom, then it sounds like a starter solonid, these cost around $20 and are avalible at autozone part number ss366

If it was clicking and then grinding when attempting to start then you may need a complete starter. These cost around a $100 from autozone. I dont recomend the value crap but it works if thats all they have.

O'reillys

I bought a starter from O'reillys for my SE, $70 including lifetime warranty. So far it has lasted a year. Can't beat the price and they are easy to swap out.

Auto parts store if you need one quick, I'm not sure on the reliability of those though.
I got a rebuilt one for about $120 if I remember right.
So $70 with a guarantee is a decent deal.
See if that comes with a solenoid though.

Davidov -- yep with the solenoid, oh yea that's and 84 SE, but should be close on price.

Sir Rupert Hobo -- out by JSC and League City. Btw, I bought my TII donor from a guy out in Cypress, screen name Fokker.

This TII was beat to ****, too bad its an AE that is going to get junked. Still got the glass, seats, and rear end available.
