That's 3 or 3.5 mm, not cm. And you can use 3.5 mm, that's what Hose Techniques lists.

I'm not sure, I've never done it.

It must be though, as all of the threads I just looked at recommended 3.5 mm.

different hoses have different diameters. That's what I liked about the hosetechniques kit. You get more hose than you need, but there's a whole range of sizes (used every single size)
