Thanks for the descriptiong RETed. I think I found out what you mean with threshhold braking. I replaced my front pads with a set of EBC Greenstuff (Aggresive soft compound) but left the back with my heat cycled old pads, and took the car to the track. If i tried turning with the brakes on, out came the back. it made that much brake balance difference. Especially on the turn where you have to drop about 80km/h off your speed (120km/h -> 40km/h)

the new front pads did help drop another second off my p/b time though.

one cheap "brake upgrade" already mentioned, but still pretty cheap... bleed the brakes. its free (aslong as you don't spill your brake fluid everywhere) and boy does it make a difference.

edmcguirk: as far as the SS braided lines go, I found they allowed a much tighter brake pedal. and my rubber lines were so clapped out, it shortened the pedal by about 3cm (yes they expanded that much !!!) didn't find them particuarly cheap though... about $300 for my set (rated to 3000psi and DOT compliant.. not an easy thing to come by here in aus)

MC from a '90's Mazda 929 sedan. Bolts right in but requires a little work with the brake lines. It has a larger piston bore than the RX7 MC this results in more fluid "flow" during pedal application. The result is a shorter pedal trhow but MUCH better pedal feel.

yeah well here is the deal i like their products and they run less than 310 for all 4 rotors both front and rear pads and ss brake lines

geniune OE mazda pads are great, or grab some hawk pads.

and like everyone else says, new brake lines, new fluid and sticky *** tires
