Charcole canaster junk.
i realize i probably spelt charcole canister wrong but oh well. any ways. i was out looking at my 86 NA today and noticed that there is a tube that goes into the bottom of the charcole canister but looks like it has been cut it's just dangling there. where is this tube supposed to go? thanks

It will be a single wire with a single prong connector. I believe it splits from the main harness around the thermostat housing.

On top of the engine block, on the driver's side, the wiring harness goes sorta below where your BAC valve is. A wire comes out around there, and (at least mine does) goes under your UIM and comes out over the tranny. There should be a small green connector as mentioned above on the end of this wire. Mine came off, so I just crimped on a spade type connector that I had laying around, just in case I had to disconnect it for any reason, without having to cut it.

if you only have 4" of wire coming from the old O2 sensor, might as well buy another one (Bosch makes 'em for our cars)- the wire is a special shielded type to inhibit electrical noise...if you just splice in regular stranded wire, might have a funky signal going back to the ECU...
