the charcoal canister
i removed it. but now wonder if u can answer this question for me if u really know. the small and large hole does what. the canister had a hole going out the bottom, what did it do. i think that was it. none that went to the engine. so my question is if i remove it. should i cap off the lines. or run them together. idk. your info would be helpful.

probably wont do muhc for performance...it just vents crank case vapors and such...its probably not a good idea to leave it out...i took mine out cause it broke..and now there are oil spots in the engine bay where i left the can out

Put the cansiter back. There's no reason to remove it.
Removal will allow vapours from the fuel tank to enter the engine bay. Not really dangerous, but the car will reek like fuel.
To answer your question, the small nipple on the top of the canister leads to the check valve coming from the fuel tank. The large nipple leads to the "crankcase" and ultimately to the purge valve. If you insist on removing the canister, you will need to follow this line back to the engine and then cap the nipple on the engine closed.
