Simple search in google came up with that....along with TONS more, not including our forum.

yep xtremeskier97 is right, as a matter of fact it just was asked like a week ago. Why do you wanna take it out? If I where you I would leave it in but if you are taking all the emmisions out then you can remove it and it will do no harm. it's there basically to trap gas vapors for emmisions purposes.

If yall had searched in the first place..this WHOLE THREAD wouldnt have been necessary. So get off your lazy butt and search next time. And in case you didnt even BOTHER to read the link I gave...it was EXACTLY what he said, AND MORE. And I only posted ONCE asking if yall had searched, not "tons" of times.
Man..some people are just plain dumb.

no problem. Next thing I would do is search for emissions removal and that should get you alot of info on stuff you will be removing including the vac rack. Once you remove the vac rack all those vac hoses will be gone and the engine will be alot easier to work on and trouble shoot. here is a good place to by block off plates when you remove all the emissions stuff http://www.2751engineering.com/2751parts.html .

Hey just to add to the mix. wonder1and took his charcoal canister out of his FD and in turn caught his engine on fire. I don't know the specifics but it might be worth sending him a PM on exact details. I just would hate to see anything bad happen to another forum member's car.

Well, considering the charcoal canister holds fuel vaport vented from the gas tank, removing it without find a new place to route the vapors could certainly cause a fire :P
