Caused an accident, motorcycle involved.
No joke, I was driving around the project Vert yesterday, the exhaust isn't done yet and the car is having some minor running issues. It runs pretty rich. Here is what I have done, the accident story will come up in a minute.
I set the TPS at 1k ohms (runs smooth but backfires)
Adjusted the idle mixture in the "butterzone"
Changed out the air filter and plugs
Ran Lucas fuel injector cleaner
The car needs assistance finding idle at warmup and chooses it's own # throughout the rest of the trip (ie. each time I push the clutch in at a stop light it can go anywhere from 400rpm to 1100rpm but will stay there consistantly. The car is mildly underpowered but pulls strong. Please help me get this thing to burn a NORMAL amount of fuel... BECAUSE!!! READ ON.
I am on the way home and am on road at about 55 mph (stuck behind a truck) there was a biker behind me, he was behind me for about 15 miles when all of a sudden out of my rear view I see him swerve and loose his back tire on the the shoulder. He completely flips off the bike and the bike goes through a mailbox. I slam on the breaks and spin it around to see if he is ok.. I figured he could use some help or a cell phone. INSTEAD he starts swearing at me about how his eyes were burning and he couldn't breath when he was behind me and how it was my fault that he wrecked!!! He said that my car was running way rich and I needed to call my insurance agency.. I laughed and told him he could kiss my ***. Got in the car and drove away.. What a dick.
Regardless though I really need to fix this issue before somone really tries to sue me...

He's a moron. If your car has a problem and he's stuck behind it, he can slow down and put some distance between the two of you.
As for the problem: Something's sticky and not releasing fully, maybe?

The black woman that caused my accident because she didn't use any sort of signal that she was turning, didn't so much as get a glare from the police. She actually just casually walked into her house, then five minutes later, came out, got back in her car and tried to drive out. She honked a little at the ambulance so they would move so she could leave. Stupid bitch, I know where she lives and she's getting a surprise eventually....

the motorcyclist needs to drive defensively and avoid an accident.
if your car is smoking enough to cause a problem, anyone behind you needs to back off and give themselves ample room and time to react safely.
dont worry about it.
funny story though.

running rich?
in your sig it says you're running tII injectors but its an NA correct? without any way to control fuel i would assume that would be what is causing the rich situation

Thats pretty funny Trevor.
I was following Fero313 on my motorcycle a few months ago. His NA with full RB exhaust was rank enough for me to back off a good distance. It was burning the **** outta my eyes with my shield down. WTF
Get yo **** running good so we can put a rollbar in it!!

The car doesn't smoke at all, I am running T2 Secondaries but it only seems rich before the 2ndaries kick in like at 2-3.5rpms after that it is just the "normal rx-7 stench"...
The rims are Exel Mimi's 17x8 with a 35mm offset 255/45/17 in the back and 225/45/17's in the front.

I am going to swap in the 460's again, I only had the T2's as secondaries cause I was running it Turbo for a bit during the build.
DJ I will be back in town on TUES of next week, I will be getting the exhaust done then and then you can have the car to test fit ect..

He just fell. I'm sure he was just saying that in the heat of the moment.
I don't think RRTEC is legaly responsible, but its pretty fucked up that you all think this is funny.

I feel that he should have backed off or something if it was that bad, I know it will make your eyes water.... I daily drive a CBR and hate to see anyone fall, but it really isn't my fault, my car is legally tagged in my county he could have backed off instead of hanging on my back bumper.....
What's the old saying "it's funny cause no-one got hurt".... something like that....
