caught my **** on fire

Well I blew my engine last wednesday night, had another engine in by thursday night , but it was running like poo after checking for vacuum leaks and messing withe the timing I pulled the UIM neither of the injectors on the front rotar were getting their positive voltage. So I soldered in some new wires and I was good to go. I was taking it out for a joy ride and testing it, when I noticed smoke, my buddy juped out of the car with the fire extinguisher I had luckily decided to put in there tonight, i popped the hood saw the blaze and he put it out.

So the night started out good ans ended in fire and a flatbed.

I guess I know what Im doing Saturday, rewiring, new injector seals and new fuel lines. Oh and buying a new fire extinguisher.

Was the pulsation dampner leaking or was it the injector seals leaking or fuel line? Sorry to hear that, lucky you had a fire extinguisher handy.

I think the previous owner removed the pulsation dampener, so it wasn't that but I think it was one the fuel lines, possibly one of the injector seals.

I just checked mazdatrix and I didnt see the injector seals there, or new injector clips. I'll call the tomorrow but if they dont have then is there any ohter source you guys would recommend.

The car still starts, so I should have her up and running agin by saturday.

Sure they do:
http://mazdatrix.com/c-6.htm

Also you can find injector seals for s4's at your local parts store, not for an s5, but some of the s4 seals like the orings, top and bottom seals, work fine on the s5. Ask for 88 rx7 seals... I've been through sourcing seals before so this is from experience.
