cat stud size?

my catalytic converter has a major leak... one of the damn studs somehow worked it's way out and now I have a bad leak... does anyone know the size of the stud (usually different on both ends) between the cat and the cat-back... I called mazda and they have no idea... they said I have to buy a new converter and I told them to **** themselves.... I can't figure out what size stud to buy... anyone know?

Scrolling down this page, I see a stud for the cat (12 x 1.25), part number 40 3980 1259.
