might want to list the brand..instructions/manual it came with? it should replace the exsisting surround meaning take the old one out and new one in..pull off the shifter surround/pull out ash tray/ remove 2 screws/ pull out the grills very gently/undo cig lighter wire on the back/ and work slowly..install opposite

it is an aerowerks. no instruction. dont have a factory center consold in the car. i was just wondering if anyone has installed the center consold that is the radio and a/c delete. where did they drill the holes for the screws to mount it or use 2 sided tape?
thanks vince

That consolE seems pretty badass. Do you have a link to the site for the cf consolE. Unfortunately, this consolE will probably need carefully measured holes drilled in it for mounting. Post pictures if you dont have a link for the consolE.

nice. i'd really like to get one. i put my center console part back on today and it just sucks. i wrapped it in electrical tape.
in a way it looks nice. but in its own "special" way.
the cf console would look so much better though. speakin of which. i did some searching of my own and saw a bunch of CF center console threads for fc. are there any other alternatives?
or the the CF the only solution other then making my own? im not very good at fabricating anything right now.

"mounts with screws on original location"
They lie.
At least on the S5 (and I'm assuming the S4) the top mounting screws are at the top of the slot for the air vents and this item does NOT have the vent gap hence no screws. And the bottom is attached with screws under the ash tray which again this piece does not appear to have an ash tray slot (it could be hidden in the shadows of the badly taken photo) hence no way to attach the screws.
Time to get creative!

Like this one?
This is my SMP carbon fiber radio surround that I put stock vents on. The bottom is held down by two posts on the shifter surround that go through holes (like stock if I remember correctly) At the top, I originally tried two sided tape to secure it. It had funny gaps and looked like ***. I then used a bead of caulk across the top that just curved slightly down around the corners while the bottom was not yet pressed down by the shifter trim. After waiting a day to make sure it was dry, I pressed on the shifter surround and the radio surround snugged up to the dash nicely with no gaps. It was still holding strong over a year later when I cut it out of that car.
