Carbon Apex Seals
Ok I have no clue if this would be good or not. I'm planning on get alot out of my n/a 87 rx7 I'm doing a rebuild really I'm going to street port, exhaust, and a bunch of other stuff now i want to know would carbon apex seals be good for this engine or not. I know that they are used for racing and everything but this is going to be a mainly a daily driver/ racing machine. I know you can't get much out of a n/a. Some way and some how i'll do it. If carbon isn't the way to go then that is fine. Now if it is Steel that i have to go with I want to know where i can go to get cheap seals.

Ummm well I just found the apex seals from the T2 in the garage they came off a S5 could i put them in the n/a S4 and if so how can i tell if they are good do i measure them.

All the apex seals from 1986+ are the same Mazda part number...
Yes, you can use them.
8.0mm = brand new
7.5mm = first wear limit, recommend to change inner apex seal spring (Don't ask me why)
7.0mm = absolute wear limit - replace with new
