Make sure you to check all your Vacuum lines. Make sure you dont have a leak..
Make sure you TPS is hooked all the way as well.
It sounds like somthing simple. Very simple things can hold it back from starting.

I am willing to bet that your car is MAJOR flooded.
My car did the EXACT same thing, would not even show on the gauge. But really it was just flooded, big time.
Took a lot of work to de-flood it but finally got it started and now re tested my compression and i am over 100psi.
First pull your bottom plugs, then your EGI fuse (one closeest tot he engine on the engine bay fuse box).
Then crank the engine for about 10 seconds with the pedal to the floor.
Then put about an OZ of oil into each of the bottom plug holes. Put the plugs back in but leave teh EGI fues out.
Crank for another 10 seconds with the pedal to the floor.
Put the EGI fues back in and then you can try starting it.
Try starting it and see what it does. Try pressing the gas down, if you hear it start to catch then you are on the right track. Keep trying.
If it gets close but just won;t start then repete the above steps. I had to do them 2 or 3 times to get it started once.
If still no go then check the timing, TPS, make sure the intake is all hooked up right and no vacume leaks.
If you still can't get it to fire then you can try this. Take the intake off so you can see right into the TB.
Then have a friend hold the gas down and try starting it while you spray carb cleaner into the TB. If it fires like this then you have a fuel problem. This can also help get rid of the flooding as well.
