Car starts chugging near idle
So I got a 91 auto, once the engine's heated up if you pull into a parking lot and drive really slow it chugs along, seems to go inbetween 300-400 rpm to 900rpm just up and down like its gonna die any time and it makes this weird clunking sound.
I'm unsure whats wrong, the bushings on the shifter are going bad so I don't wanna start manually putting it in nutrual, would this be the auto tranny computer or the torq conerter?

Have you checked the basics first like timing and BAC operation?
The BAC should allow enough air in to keep the idle stable on low speed operation.
And your bump was deleted. No bumps in the 2nd gen technical section

I'm pretty sure the issue is with the automatic tranny, if I give the car some gas it'll stop the chugging, it'll even do it coasting down hill at slow speeds. It sounds like the tranny is shifting every few seconds, it also never dies out even when the rpm gauge goes really low.
Anyother info you guys need just ask
