I think your clutch is not release enough.
Try adjusting the clutch pedal so that the clutch disengages more...

you cant install clutch plate backwards, it wont physically fit, ive tried. get a buddy to press the clutch in while you look at the slave cylinder and the piston that actuates the clutch fork, usually you forget to put the piston on the clutch fork and its an easy fix. ive done it once when i redid my clutch. btw, does the clutch pedal stay on the floor? or does it come back up?

If the car still moves forwards even when the transmission is in reverse, well... that's just wierd.
Here are the symptoms for a reverse installed clutch plate:

-Can shift into gear with motor off
-Cannot shift into gear with car running
-If car started in gear it will lurch forward/backwards(depending on gear)
-Clutch pedal may not feel firm enough, no matter how much you bleed the system.

Is this you?

I think they mean the clutch disk backwards, not the pressure plate I hope... if you install the plate backwards, does that mean that your flywheel is bolted to the transmission?? Hehe I'm just messin'. But what it sounds like is your disc is totally shot, or the bearing.
But what I don't understand is... are you putting it in reverse and then it goes forward? Or the engine doesn't catch the transmission?

Well, unless you can provide more information, I think it's time for a tranny pull to find out. If you're matching ALL of the symptoms that I just described, than there's a good chance that your plate is in backwards. You've inspected all the clutch hydraulics to make sure they're performing correctly, right? If not, do that first. Good luck!

I'm not sure what kind of work you just did to the car, but it sounds like you have a misadjusted rod on the clutch master cylinder. The reason the car lunges in gear when you start the car is that when you step on the clutch, its not full disengaging. Try lengthening the rod on the clutch master cylinder, its connected to the clutch pedal. I have seen on some cars that if the master cylinder is not adjusted properly, its almost impossible to get all the air out of the system. If the system has no air, either the clutch fork or the pin that it pushes on is broken or you somehow was able to put in the clutch disc in backwards or the pressure plate is defective or broken. All of which require the transmission to be taken out.

well i've tried to adjust the pedal, bleed of the system and it seems as though there is no air.. Checked the hydraulics.. the clutch seems to be activating when i push it down... but one more thing .. it now clicks almost everytime i push it to the floor.. nothing too odd just seems louder then before..
Also whats side of the plate faces the transmission... in the manual it says the side with the exposed springs but both sides have exposed springs...
