you planning on putting the completed running car on there or just the unibody? i have seen them for chassis' but never for a complete 2500+lb car.

When i ordered some stuff from Mariah, they said they were using 2 engine stands as a rotisserie. The car was striped to the unibody, no suspension or anything.
I've enclosed some pics of one I found online a while back, I was thinking about building one, don't even remember where I found it.
Should give you an idea where to start.

I had no need for wheels on mine so I built a split rotisserie with no connection at the middle.
My base was 4'x4' on both ends.
I used on overhead electric winch to lift the car.
what else do you want to know?

The pics I posted are from a commercialy made rotisserie, they are not of an engine stand, although the principle and configuration are the similiar.
Many engine stands are rated at 750 lbs., with a little reinforcement, they may be adapted to use as a rotisserie. The major problem using them is they are short and the base is not wide enough. However, that shouldn't stop some of the creative minds on the forum.
