How did this happen?
Was the car acting funny before this problem?
Did it run fine one day and the next day it wouldn't start?

If you start a cold rotory for 10 sec then shut if off and it sits- this will cause it to flood out or not start again.

Sounds like something came lose OR got wet.

Look under the car. Look for lose connections and check them all.
Maybe open the hood on a sunny day and let it dry out.

Be careful not to try and crank the motor to much. This could cause it to flood out.
Keep us posted. I'll try to help.

try the de-flooding procedure. Maybe you just flooded it.

YO- i had the same problem about a week and a half ago...it was soo frustrating! like honestly i was ready to blow the car up, but instead I just read a lot and popped the hood praying for it to start on.

First- does your car have a fuel cut switch?

if so, cuz mine did, the next thing i did was flip it off. i changed the sparked plugs cuz mine were kind of black

then i held the gas all the way down with the fuel cut switch off and cranked it for about 2-3 seconds then flipped the switched on and VOILA of course a big cloud of white smoke came from the exhaust but from all my research i assuming i flooded the car.

now after drivin the car when im getting to cut the car off i let it sit for a minute and then hit the kill switch and let it die off.... it worked for me- keep us posted gud luk!

If your engine got wet, I bet its your plug wires... everytime my engines got wet and simultaneously something stopped working.. it always seemed to be the plug wires. Measure their resistance and replace if necessary. But.. there could be something else.. I'm just telling you what worked for me.

No... they will be 180deg off... T1 and L1 should be damn near the same time (barely off),and T2 and L2 should be really close too.. but L1 and L2 or T1 and T2 should be 180deg off from one another...

Did you get the resistances from the plug wires?

ya the resistance on all the plug wires was between 5-7ohms from the manual at rx7city.com it should be no more than 16ohms per meter. snd noe of the cables are over a meter. plus i put new plugs in still nothing. i checked the timing on the car and it was off by about 2mm. fixed it and still nothing so im so lost i have to have it running is the car i use to get to school. i want to giveup on it but then again i dont cause i know it is a classic and i want to keep it. just getting rough.

Try charging the battery or put in another fully charged battery.

Just push start it as if the battery was dead.

Have some friends push the car. After it gets going just drop the clutch while your in 2nd gear. Try it a couple of times. Make sure your on pavement!!!!!

A friend of mine had a problem with his rx7. It just wouldn't start. We switched parts from my car and tried everything. After all this it wouldn't start so we gave up and had it towed to the dealer. All they did was hook it up to the battery charger. Charged the battery and it fired right up. They didn't even charge him anything. These rotarys can be stubborn sometimes.
