Unhappy Car dumping too much fuel at idle... HELP!!

Ok... I posted about this earlier but not many people are looking at my thread nor helping... so I hope this one grabs ppl's attention better...

My car is at rx7store right now. I brought her home, tried to start her morning after. She cranked over but ran only like 5 seconds and died. I turn the key, it's not working. I thought my engine was flooded so I tried to unflood it, didn't work. So I towed my car to rx7store, and it's been there for a week and a half. They're still trying to figure out what's wrong. They changed primary injectors, checked Microtech, Crank Angle Sensor, put in new spark plugs, changed the coil pack, and it's still not working. I was waiting for my car to be done so I could drive her home but since it didn't look like it was going to be anytime soon, I just took a plane home today...

Anyway, if any of the experts on this board can give me some help... that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

They(rx7store) checked compression and they said it looked pretty good. Plus the engine is only 6k miles old...

Yeah... I'm thinking it might be one of the obvious things but I just can't figure it out! Rx7 store doesn't seem to be able to figure it out either...

have you tried the atf trick. i remeber rember when my rx7 flooded i couldnt get any of the other stuff to work, even pulling the plugs and turning the engine over to dump the execc gas didnt work. if youve tried evrything else it might be worth a shot.

flooding is not the problem. The car's just putting too much fuel into the engine at idle. That's why rx7store first thought it was the primaries stuck open...

Thanks for the help though...

you said check the microtech??? You have a standalone? Can't you just pull some fuel out of the coldstart enrichments? Timing adjustments????

the problem was not the microtech. They couldn't tune the car at all. Well, replacing 550s to 720s now... also replacing FPR. Hopefully that will solve the problem and... let me run more boost! The car's gonna be tuned to 14-15psi. I'm expecting something in mid-300. Oh yeah, ARC TMIC is going to be on the car as well

So it's working now that you found someone who can tune it?

my boost gauge works fine. I have aftermarket one. I hope they found the problem this time. I took it to rx7store in the first place but they couldn't figure out the problem... it's been there for almost 2 weeks now. I'm gonna call them on Monday and see what's happening. Hopefully they figured it out this time.

I just don't understand how you keep saying it's running super rich, but it's not the microtech???? You have 2 things that a motor requires to run...fuel and air...you have a problem with one of those. You said it's running rich, so it's probably fuel related. Do you know what your fuel pressure is at? I know on my dad's vette that if you cap the vac line going to the regulator that it bumps up to max pressure. Other than stuff like that, it's got to be in the tuning of the car. Can you check the inputs to the computer and make sure everything is responding? Do you have anymeans to tune? If anything go off the voltage on the stock O2 sensor, and make adjustments. Obviously you're going to need a serious amount of fuel for the initial start, but it can calm down a little once it's running, so make adjustments to the cold start maps. Once thats good and the car is warmed up, just slowly go through the rpm band in N and pull some fuel out until you hear it drop out a little, then put a little back in. If you go all the way through this, you should have a pretty good crusing/idle map.
