Car Is Dead Please Help !!!! Anyone !!!

the beast is out of action!
the story starts on a friday night, time to try out the new sparks!
NOT!

here goes:
i installed new sparks because of major misfire, anyway, i drove all the way to the city. While sitting outside waiting for a friend. The car dies.
Eventually after a hell of alot of cranking it starts, we head down flinders st. on our way to burwood.

All of a sudden, car dies out. Pull over and try to start her up again. Dead battery, push her to the side. While waiting for a friend to come for a jump start, i took out all sparks to examine them. Black as the night sky. i quickly clean them and put them back in.

My friend arrives for a jump start and she works fine. Continue down towards burwood. (can't miss a 21st!) We hit toorak rd. and engine temp is quickly rising. No good continuing, we pull over and examine. Steam pours out. It drank all the water. We buy a 1.5 l of bottled water, only the finest for my baby! It drank that in no time, tap water it is! After at least 4.5 liters she's running again. And that's not the end!

Continuing on toorak rd. traffic's bad. temps are rising, normal, hotter (maybe the traffic), maxed. WTF!!! we turn back, criusing on nuetral most of the time. make it back to crown. Another 3 liters of water. I notice one of the heater hoses gone, leaking out green stuff. I ask the tow trucks already at the servo to tow me home. WTF !!! $100 for a 10 minute ride? i decide to push on home. Creeping home on nuetral, I made 3 stops!

One hour later i'm home, not quite. About 50 m before my house i flick her into nuetral to roll home. Engine dies, and battery dies, halfway up my driveway for gawd sakes!!!!!! After calling the oldies out and pushing for about half an hour! (steep driveway!) she's home, but hurt.

Today i show up to work, in my exa! All the regualrs come in ask: "how's the 7?" making me relive my trauma about 5 times over! Stupid car, she's in the trading post next week. Hopefully i can buy a new car, RVR hyper sports here we come! Altough i'll miss my 7!

BROKEN THINGS:
water pump
radiator hose
alternator
battery
my heart
not to mention my wallet if i want her back on road again!

OK that's the squeel i had on another forum, but now my car is dead! the battery won't charge and it's over heating and killing spark plugs. I've replaced the spark plugs, to standard equipment, used to have BUR8 i think. And they were all round. naturally you'd think it's the fan belt, but that's still in tact, possibbly not turniong though. my take on this situation is that the water pump is seized. Anyone else like to offer any suggestions? I'm taking her to the shop tomorrow and don't want to be ripped off. thanks guys!

try turning the water pump by hand... that will tell you right away if it's siezed, it should turn pretty easy even with belts on there...

the plugs DO get black naturally

whats bad is when the electrodes wear off.. not when they are black

heater hose = 5 bucks

i have a working water pump i COULD sell you - but i was gonna clean it up make it shiny and then put it on my car

either way, i have 2 working pumps - one on my car, on in the garage.

i dont want a ridiculous price for it.

get an alternator, get a battery. max of 200-ish bucks if you know the right people.

cheer up man dont give up.

sorry i never knew rotors are supposed to have black sparks! i've owned every type of engine and black = bad! LoL learn something new every day!
I can't buy your water pump off you because i live in australia, and the cost to send it down will be a silly amount!

i've tried truning it with the belts on, turn the alternator to see if the water pump turns, but to no avail!

Could all this be due to the alternator belt being too tight?!!!

Good grief man, slow down. IF you haven't cooked the engine, this is all no big deal. All easy and cheap stuff to fix. Do a compression check before you do anything, if that is good get your *** to work and fix it.... ~Sky

belts being tight wouldnt matter

you should still be able to spin the water pump.. if you cant, try turning something else on the same belt system as the pump and the pump should turn with everything else..

its not that rotaries have black sparks, but the plugs get black after like 1 drive..

i thought mine were wrecked too, then i got new ones, went for a 10 minute drive, came back, and the new ones were black as coal just like the old ones

its mostly the electrode the wears (visibly it starts reducing) thats whats bad.

but yeah, i agree with skyypilot. before you go anywhere do a compression test..

if you dont have a tester, remove the leading plugs, remove the 30A EGI fuse, and turn it over (with your foot on the accelerator - can anyone else back me up on this?). listen for a steady pulsing.. if it sounds steady, you should be ok. if it sounds like a galloping horse, then.. thats very bad.

i'm a student double degree, 24 hours a week working!
i have no time!

what will the compression test, test for? I don't think it's that major? no blown seals or nothing.

by the way, belts are tight, with abit of play, but don't budge! this was always like this since my first service!
