car is bogging out help
Car is a 90 model 13b non turbo starts up fine idels ok I know my Tps needs to be adjusted and its throwing codes for crank angle sensor and trailing ignition coil but even with those issues I should still have some momentum I'd assume but when I hit the throttle the rpm's drop or they go up and the car backfires please help I really want to drive this car again

im assuming that since you're having an issue with the trailing coil, some of the spark plugs aren't firing and some of the fuel is getting burned up in the cat... that would explain loss of power and backfiring.. if that's not it, it could be a dirty fuel filter, bad fuel pump, or a dirty gas tank for the issue of bogging..

Does it bog out at around 3k? I know that when the OMP/MOP Goes out the car will start and idle fine, but when you drive it, it doesn't get any power at around 3k unless you really ease into it. But of course you will need to pull the codes again and see if it throws those codes. Hopefully its not the OMP/MOP because if it goes out, it might take the EGI/ECU with it.
