I geuss I will try to pull the car and crank it, only thing I havent tried. We got it to a nice running speed before I cranked it last time though heh .

No the Fuel lines aren't switched .

I have a friend who might come down in town this weekend to help me with it. If we get it running I will definitely post what it is. Hopefully she will start because I am desperate lol. Don't have a clue on what to try heh.

Thanks again,
Dane

Your not trying to crank it while rolling are you? You need to have it in gear with you foot off the clutch and on the gas so it turns the motor over itself. Of course with the key in the on position.

Ok she started but died again. I have a fuel problem. I dumped a lot of fast start into the intake and after about 10 seconds of cranking she caught up and the died again. I couldnt even give her gas. Then I tried again and it started on its own without the fluid but died again really quick so I am assuming it was burning the left overs up. Then it wouldnt start again. Didnt try spraying more fluid in it, figured starting up with the fluid so easy shows it is a fuel problem.

Now my question is, the fuel injectors were just cleaned by witch Hunter Performance. They are all spraying at 546, 546, 548, 550. So I know they are in good shape. I turned the cas again and still hear clicking. The fuel is to the rail, so could it be a fuel pressure problem? Besides the fuel pump what else should I look at? Fuel pressure regulator? Is there any ways to test it?

The fuel pump is a new Walbro and has been tested btw.

Thanks guys, I feel like there is hope yet .

Well my friend never showed to help out, but I went over my fuel lines. They seem to be correct. I followed them from under the car, the first one to come to an end should go to the Fuel filter because the other one passes the fuel filter up (the hardline that is), so from the fuel filter I went to the primary rail on the firewall side, the out the front of the primary to the secondaries front, then from the secondaries firewall(FPR) Side I went to the return hardline.

I also had my brother crank the engine while I felt the fuel lines and I couldnt feel any fuel running through there but those lines are kinda thick, but I could collapse the line if i squeezed really hard. I would think with the amount of PSI that should be held back by the FPR i shouldnt be able to collapse the line.

After all this I geuss I will look for a new FPR? If anyone has any other suggestions on what to check before I buy a FPR please let me know. I dont have any tools to test the actual fuel pressure in the line though .

Yeah I already did that. I narrowed it down to a fuel issue now.

I went under the car and pulled the fuel line off the bottom of the fuel filter and cranked the engine. No fuel came out of the line, but a small trickle came out of the filter only when i cranked. So I was assuming since my lines are right at the engine that the fuel pump hoses got switched when I installed the Walbro Fuel pump. But that cant be possable because when i checked the hoses were cut to fit, one of the hoses couldnt reach the fuel pump if I switched them. Right now I am waiting on parts, when I get them in tomorrow I am going to pull the fuel pump and test it again. If it works I am going to run a long fuel line straight from the pump to the fuel filter to make sure its getting there. If that works I geuss somewhere along the fuel line to the fuel filter it is gummed up.

Anyhow wish me luck. :P

3/8" fuel injection rubber hose that long will probably be over $20 (from fuel pump to filter). make sure it's made for the pressure. good luck

I'd check voltage to the fuel pump itself.

You can also prime the lines before you try to start the car. In fact, Thats what you should do everytime the fuel lines are drained of fuel. You jumper two wires in one of the check connectors and you then can hear the fuel pump because its the only thing that should be running. The procedure for priming the fuel lines can be found in any rx7 hanes manual.

Well got some good news. I pulled the fuel pump and it seems one of the old positive wires came off the connector. I went and bought a new connector and attatched it and she started right up! Smoked like hell for about 5 seconds then died. Had to un-flood it and it started again and died. I dont know if it is getting too much fuel and killing it or its a vacuum leak somewhere. Any suggestions?

Thanks!
Dane

Update: I cant even get it to start by unflooding it now. I tried fast start and still wouldnt start. I can hear it trying to catch though. Going to add more oil to the plug holes and see if I can get it fired up again and keep it going.

Thanks Guys for all the help! I got the car started and it runs great. It was idling at 1500 right when I got it running so I didn't even had to mess with the idle. The Oil Pressure was 60 dead on, but that was with the high idle, when cranking it was 30ish. Besides that I let it run for about 5 minutes and I had to shut it off due to a coolant leak on the turbo line. And I think there is coolant leaking from under the UIM so probably one of the plates not sealing all the way. Besides that, it sounded good and smoked up a storm.

I have a few last question for you guys though. I replaced the water pump, and put in a Koyo Raidiator. It had heating problems before I broke it down and rebuilt it, so I am expecting some now. Can someone explain to me how the fan goes out, I dont understand how it can go bad since it is attatched to the pullies and is manual not electric... Also is the middle of the temp guage is an ok temp to be running? And last, when I change the oil, what oil is usually recomended? I used Penzoil 20w50 for this first 500 miles.

Thanks guys! I am glad it is running .
