Forgot to tell you check the end of the trans shaft for burrs maybe take a file and taper the end a bit more so the shaft can find its way into the brg easier it needs to be perfect or it will not go .

Thanks guys for all the help and details...
Thanks guys for the info shared, I had the same problem aligning the transmission. Wasted like 6 hours with a friend and not success the first day. After all the details and tricks I was able to finish the job.
Here few of the tricks that help me:
1. Get the tranny in gear like 1st ( so later you can turn the drive-shaft and align the spiral of the trany with the clutch.)
2. To get more clearance between the tail of the tranny and the car , lift the back of the engine a little bit.
3. Get-align the tranny in place the best you can. Secure with one or two screws if is possible. I used one of the starter screws with few bigger nuts (used as spacer) to start holding the tranny in place.
4. Drop engine from the back and lift the front a little bit to get the same angle as the tranny and help with the alignment.
5. Use drive-shaft to turn tranny and align the spiral of the trany with the clutch. If you are alone use a jack under tranny and push with your legs the tranny bell-shousing and turn slowly the drive-shaft until it stop turning because it aligned with the clutch.
6. Start closing the tranny gap slowly with the screws. If the alignment was done properly you should not had to turn hard the screws, it will close the gap between the tranny and engine very easy.
