Arrow Can I put a non-vented brake disc on my rears on my vert?

Ok guys my cousin has a car with pretty much new drilled and slotted rotors front and rear but the rear rotors are not the wider vented ones like I have on my vert. I want these rotors for my car but wanted the rear to be vented. I think being drilled and slotted would help cover the lack of them being vented, but this was more of a fitment question.

I am almost entirely sure they will fit, just the caliper pistons will be a bit further out. I figured I would check first though.

If yours is a street car, whether the rear rotors are solid, vented or slotted matters not...the rear brakes won't be working hard enough to overheat anyway.

I'm not sure how the wider caliper would work on the thinner disk.
I'd suspect you'd be fine with new pads but it'd get dicier as they wore down.

At any rate, I wouldn't even bother finding out.
Non-turbo rear calipers must be a dime a dozen since everyone wants the "upgraded" vented brakes.
Heck, I've got a set in my garage.

I have a set too. So you suggest changing the calipers in the rear? They are different and wider right now then correct? I didn't know they were any different.

Yup.
The solid rotor calipers have a narrower body but are otherwise identical.

Don't you have the turbo brakes off that t2 you and the guys got? If so why not take the drilled and slotted rotors off of Jamal's GTU and put the t2 calipers on them?

Vented rotors will absolutely run cooler than drilled and slotted solid rotors. Further, non-drilled/slotted vented rotors are much more structurally sound than drilled and slotted solid rotors.

To do what your suggesting is choosing Bling over function.

Breh my vert already has t2 brakes. I want his rotors from matts car to save him some hassle and save me some money, but they are not vented in the rear, is the only difference. The major difference is in the front brakes.
