Can a Factory S4 CD-deck play CD-R's?

I'm restoring my car to 100% stock, and I was just wondering if it could? It would be a nice bonus if it did.

You shouldn't have a problem. I remember playing some CD-Rs on my S5 deck before it started going haywire and needed replacing.

It should play CD-Rs but I doubt it can handle CD-RWs or MP3 cds. If I were you I'd just get a brand new system, the one that comes stock isn't very good in my opinion, but it's your car.

I have an aftermarket HU right now....well I just pulled it out.

I have the OEM tapedeck in right now. My car is stock. I don't really listen to CD's all that much anymore but if I could find a CD-player it'd be cool for the "show" factor. haha.

My car only has 62,000miles(which is ok, it could be lower) and I have all the original parts.
