what they were trying to say that when you cut springs the tension in the end it more, not less, but in this instance I would think that yoou will get a better response but cutting it a little but not anything drastic!
My Type H does not go off in neutral I like it that way... sleeper...

is there a screw on it anywhere? and if you can hear your turbo spooling you should be able to hear the bov.

can't hear the turbo, I can feel it and see the boost gauge .. but too loud to hear it.

no screws, except the ones to take apart.

I just talked to TurboXS, they said they think it is a problem with my vacuum line lead. they sugested hooking up my boost gauge on that same lead as my BOV is on now, just to test the boost & vacuum levels of that lead. Then put it back to normal after testing it.

I have my vacuume lead for this BOV comming of the lead where the stock BOV lead came from. Is this the best place to hook up an aftermarket BOV? I was under the impression that how most people have it hooked up. Anything I could have done (TB Mod, no smog pump, Etc. ) that could cause this lead to not produce the propper vacuum needed to operate the BOV?

That makes a lot of sense. When I installed my blitz boost gauge the first time it would not sound off. I have a line coming from the intake manifold to a T where it split off to the pressure sensor and BOV originally. I added another T in for the boost gauge and it wouldnt blow off so I just switched the lines around and it worked fine. I am not sure if I went through the BOV first or the boost gauge. I can check when I get home tonight though.

This is how I have it set up:

First vacuum hose coming from intake manifold. At the end of it is a T. On the 2 sides of the 2 are another hose leading to a 2nd T and the other side goes to the pressure sensor.

On the 2nd T goes the hose to the BOV and one to the boost gauge.

The first time around I must have switched 2 or 3 of the hoses and my BOV would not go off. If you want pictures I can post them.

That would be great, cause you have alot of T's going on there. Are you saying your presure sensor, and BOV come off the same vacuum nipple?

Everything hose is originating from one vac nipple. Just in case you were wondering if my boost gauge is accurate or not it is. When I first tested it, my blitz boost gauge and stock boost gauge went up the same amount and no kinks in my vac line.

I can make 7 PSI on a free rev, and my BOV definately goes off.

mines also a blitz dd and goes off in neutral above 4000 rpm. the turbo doesn't actually create any pressure but the valve still opens, damn loud aswell

What is your boost pressure set at? If the BOV is for 10-30psi you said, then if your boost pressure is under ten it shouldnt go off at all, but if it is a little above, like 12psi it will take some RPMs in neutral to discharge the system.

Also check to make sure you have one of the stronger vacuum lines hooked to it as ARPUS said.

i have an old style HKS SSQV and i have to redline it to make it audible inside the car. and during shifts it plenty loud in the car. outside the car, however, is an entirely different story. even when shifting at 8psi, you have to be listening for it to notice anything.
