go to the for sale/wanted forum... there's a sticky at the top where you ask people to run carfaxes for you... i did that twice, and i got responses within a day or 2... the forum guys with carfaxes will help you out there...

How can I find out who had the title last then?

uhmm.. dunno if this works in arizona, but in ontario, we have to buy a vehicle information package from the DMV before the ownership of a vehicle can be changed. This package contains a list of all the previous owners of the vehicle. Maybe the arizona DMV could provide a similar service?

Yea, I got some stuff from the DMV, they said the car needs emissioned first! LOL thats kinda hard considering that there is not a single thing in the engine bay and no running engine.
