You should definitely do a compression test.
You should be able to do this fairly easily on your own. If you can't do this on your own I honestly would recommend not buying the car. Repairs can get expensive and they are even more expensive if you can't fix things on your own.

From my research there are less than 100 of them registered in the states. Luckily Mazda did put a piston powered version of the RX-5's and everything is exactly the same except for the motor and transmission. I am projecting it will take about 2-3 years just based on how many are out there, and the amount of rust and wear and tear that is on it. It will be close to original stock form except for upgrades to the fuel system, air intake, and exhaust.

It's all good, even though im not discussing what you guys are talking about, Im still reading it and enjoying the conversation From all this car related stuff and since my friend goes to UTI school, I'm actually considering joining this school called Wyotech so I can fix my own cars :P

And the whole UTI and Wyotech is another discussion. Alot of people have their opinion's about those places.
