Thanks Sonic, I pm'd all the guys on this thread who said they wanted a hood, this is a done deal, and only weeks from production, I am holding the group buy open on the thought that not everyone "lives on the forum. In the past many have said they wanted this hood. Well, here it is. As for a reverse cowl CF, I dont think 500-600 is realistic given the low volume. Are fabricator does beautiful work, with OEM fitment. The hoods weigh close to a stock aluminum in FG, and high teens in CF. These #s are based off the 3rd gen hoods, so they are approximate. The biggest advantage, is a unique good looking hood, with a functional reverse cowl. The scoop design is an exact replica of the mazdaspeed scoop. For anyone who really wants one, this may be a one time shot, so call me, and get on the list. otherwise, you can mess around with dreamers, and optimists for another ten years. Carl Byck

Hmmmm. I wonder who that company was.
I know of about 3 Rice companies in the valley.
Versus
Landspeedracing
SR Motorsports
If the company was still interested I have the parts to make molds from.
Every time I go to their shops they simply say No we don't have anything. I DID buy a MAZDASPEED seatbelt cover thing and brake caliper paint from them ,hehee(ricer side if me).

Astrothing, what is wrong with a group buy from a proven manufacturer? I'll pit the quality of the hood we are making against anything you guys come up with, THERE IS NO COMPARISON. I have left you guys alone with the hard work dltreezan has done, but it is, and always will be a backyard hood. That said you guys did a nice job, but mass producing a OEM quality hood is NOT something you guys can do. SO leave me alone, and I will do the same for you. Respectfully, Carl Byck
