You are joking right? How do you do a standstill? Have EVER driven a manual???? Do you only have one leg?? My god...Take your RIGHT foot and hit the gas:rev high, DUMP clutch using your LEFT foot, none of that slipping bullshit, as tires break loose, apply your LEFT foot to the brake pedal..don't JAM the damn thing, just stop car from moving. Sit and smoke.
And what's the bleach for? Makes lots of white smoke...I'm not a chemist, I dont know why, just does.

i find it to be alot easier to do a brakestand in a z28 or a mustang which is 5 spd rather then a rx7 cause of the greater low-end power.
before i changed my clutch to my current ACT, i figured i might as well rip it up, so i launched it at 5k, and locked the wheels for about 5 seconds and let it go, turned out to be the dopest burnout i ever did in my turbo2..lol about 30 feet.
smokin the tires is fun stuff, but u can hurt ur baby with some heavy wheel hop.

The clutch dump -> brake stab is the easiest method of doing it. It's not nearly as hard as it sounds.
A wheel that's spinning fast and accelerating (the rears) won't stop as easily as wheels that are slowly moving with no driving force applied to them (the fronts) and that's why you don't need excessive brake pressure to hold the vehicle still. It may take you a few times to get the amount of brake pressure correct. After a couple of attempts, powerbraking (brake stands) with a manual becomes real easy.
Here's a video (inside and outside) of my beater 240SX doing a nice brake stand. http://www.team140.net/temp/ka_burnout.wmv (4Meg)

Just dump the clutch and apply light pressure to the brakes. This is me four years ago when i had my corolla TE71coupe, this car came with LSD back in 1982
