Burned my fingers on the altenator pully
So the belt on my altenator broke on the way to work today (still made it to work though 15 mile drive, glad i bought the expensive battery
) and for whatever dumb reason i grabbed the altenator pulley to see if it has seized. It hadn't seized but it sure as hell was hot and i've got burned fingers to prove it! Looks like the bearings are wearing out...
Anyone know if a can of white lithium grease would keep this thing going until i can get a replacement?

a hot pully might not just be caused by a worn bearing
the belt that broke was probably old and shitty anyway, so it was probably slipping and creating tons of friction on the pully...and since those pullys spin so god damn fast, they will get hot
next time try touching it with the back of your hand![Wink](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
unless it is seized up, then good luck with fixing it
