Bucking under boost. injectors, or ignition?
#26
guys guys
hey yall... so I just pulled the fuel hose off the top of the main filter in the engine bay... It should be shooting out fuel! however, the fuel merely dribbles out, very weak, and very slowly.. apparently enough to make it run in vacuum but not enough pressure to give me the fuel i need after 3800 or under boost. I just put a brand new fuel filter on.. I put a new pump in too, however I did find surface rust in the gas tank.

My dad's first generation GSL did the same thing (except it was a N/A) it would hold an idle but as soon as you tried to give it the gas and take off it couldn't fill up the fuel filter in the engine bay fast enough.
He dropped the gas tank, rust was clogged up in the filter, we blew out all the lines with our air compressor (which left nice brown marks all over the ground) and bahlam, runs good as new!

took everything apart.
Well, I took the UIM off today and pulled everything apart to replace the injectors, the oil metering lines, some coolant hoses... and I also pulled my fuel pump to see what the deal was, well sure enough. The fuel sock is completely clogged with rust.. I mean not a sight of the sock itself, just a nasty ball of rust and gunk.. I think that is my culprit. I also tested the harness to all the injectors and there is 12v power on all of them when the ignition is on. I will be grounding my ecu to ensure proper grounding for neccessary things under the hood. I will let you know what happens.
