brake squeeling but its not the pads
my drivers side front wheel squeels really really loud at under 20mph. I have new pads, still squeels, put in some different pads, still squeels. My calipers are new. the only things that are old are the rotor itself, and the hardware (the pins arent very lubbed up).
could it possibly be my rotor is scored?

Anti squeel is usually a spray or a gel you put on the back of the pads to stop them from rubbing against the caliper pistons. A small amount of grease does the same thing. Just be careful to keep it off the brake contact of the pad.

You maybe stuck wiht it. It also depends on the brake pads amount of metal. Try a different brand pads.
Or just use this excuse wiht your passengers. Oh, those are just my race brake pads. They squeal like hell!

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
anti-squeal should have been put on the back of the pads, and perhaps very very lightly on the shims.
and the rotors sound like they should have been turned. If they are bumpy they are probably shiney and bumpy, which means glazed.
The rotor should be flat and dull on the faces.

I just replaced my pads with OEM ones from the local Mazda dealership. They cost $113 for front and rear.
For the first time, my brakes are extremely quiet. All
of the pads that I have bought from AutoZone, PepBoys, etc squeak. Go OEM if you got some extra cash and enjoy no squeal driving!

If you didn't have you're rotors resurfaced, and you replace your brake pads, its 9/10 is gonna squeal. Get your rotor resurfaced. Make sure you wash it with soap and water before you put it back on. If you don't wash it, the metal bits are left on the rotor and when you engage your brakes, those metal bits goes on your pads and you will not solve anything. Don't worry about the light rust on the rotor. It will all burn off when you apply the brakes. I've done so many brake jobs and I found a solution to all my brake noise comebacks. Get new pads (of course), resurface your rotors, wash the rotors, .. i personally dont use quiet red crap. I use wheel bearing grease on the caliper slides and where the caliper touches the pads. Whatever you do, DO NOT USE BRAKE CLEANER on your pads!! Big NO NO! It causes a chemical reaction with your pads. also, get new hardware whenever you can.

If you're using semi-mettalic brake pads, they're always going to squeek no matter what. But as the other peopel have said, turn the rotors and use anti-squeel compoun on the back of the pads and you should be good to go.

Instead of using soap and water to clean your rotors off you should use something like acceton or laquer thinner. Something that will strip anything off of the surface. Not leave a residue like some dishwashing soaps might.
