Brake pedal for sale
While looking under my dash, I noticed this extra pedal in the middle. There is absolutely no wear on it, and I had no idea what is was for at first. Upon futher investigation, thoug, I discovered that it activates theses strange devices connected to my wheels. I'm not sure what Mazda was thinking, but the put some sort of clamps on there. Any way, since I never use this extra pedal, I'm selling to someone who may understand its purpose. If you are interested, I'll also sell you those strange, and heavy, clamp things.
All I can think is that these are for polishing that disk behind the wheel so it stays nice and shiny. If yours are dull, I don't want mine any more, so they're for sale too. All that extra weight just for looks. Sheash.

I wanted to give second gen guys a chance first. Actually, I'd be willing to trade them for big subs to point out the back (saw a set at Car Toys today, must have weighed 50lbs each). I want the shockwaves to help push the car off the line.

I heard that the pedal puts pressure on your rotors. I guess you would do this to raise engine compression or somethin like that. Maybe someone should take up this project of checking this out.

NO NO NO!
Didn't you see the little roller ***** inside the clamp thingy's? When you hit that extra pedal (factory option), it sets those rollers in motion. They are pulled by the engine vacuum, and help spin the wheels more.
So just step on that funny pedal whenever you want that extra boost of speed. I guess it was Mazda's form of NOS at the time .

The article I just read said it was the tachyon impulse system. There must have been different uses for different models. Cosmetic for base, boost for sport, etc.
