Brake Booster issue, No power when cold.

Hey guys,
my 88 n/a has been having an issue the last 3 days with the brake booster.
From a cold start I wont have any power assist for about 2 minutes of driving. The pedal is firm and under significant pressure I can stop the car. It is most certainly a booster vac issue.
Now the odd thing is that after the booster begins assisting it will not have any issues until the next cold start, but every cold start the last 3 days I've had this issue.
Im thinking its the check valve that's causing my issue. I know I don't have a vac leak because I have smoke tested the car.
Is there any reason it could be something other than the valve?
Thanks

I'd go with the check valve too Dreyko.
Easy to check on an N/A I would think, since they don't see boost.
get another nose from the booster to the Steel line.Doesn't need a valve since there is no boost.
