brainstorming...
Lately I've been thinking of buying an FC as a project car sort of.... if funds cooperate. The idea of a streetport came up between my dad and I. My question is...
What would a streetport sacrifice? (idle? low end power? etc)
Are there different Stage, or Level streetports?
Would a streetport require new (or great shape at least) housings?
I have not really starting doing any research on this, I thought i would just throw out some questions to you guys because I usually learn more on this forum than doing an internet search.

its all based on how you shape the ports. some people call it stages some call levels others have their own name.
Personally, when I do a street port its toward the top, heavy stage 3 third level side. I loose some low end. I make up for it with lightened flywheels, and other trix. Personal reccomondation, do a budget based on your reading, pound it by 1.25 and use that number as you will run into things you did not assume.

streetports really kill your low end (below 4k rpms) torque. Power, maybe a slight loss, but it kills torque. It also increases your powerband so its more like 4-9k rpms if you do a big one. Check out reted's site (fc3spro.com) for some more info. Or just PM me or somethin LoL... i'm porting an engine right now acutally...
