Bov?
Hi everyone. I just purchased 1987 turbo II about a month ago. The car is in amazing condition and only had 101500 km on it when i bought it. anyways, i've put about 4000km on it since i've bought it and im starting to try to learn everything i can about the engine, which leads me to the reason im posting. I can't seem to find the blow-off valve. my buddy told me that it might not have one, but i thought that if it has a turbo, it has to have a wastegate. so i bought the workshop manual for it but the only thing i can find that would apply is the air control valve. basically what i'm asking is have i already found what looking for, is my buddy right, or are we both way off? thx in advance.
sidenote: I'll post some pics as soon as i figure out how.

http://www.teamfc3s.org/main/factory...TEMS_TURBO.pdf, Check out 4B-53 to 56.
A BOV is an entirely different animal, It's a valve that blows off boosted intake air to atmosphere when the throttle closes as in when you lift off the gas pedal. A wastegate bypasses exhaust gasses before it reaches the turbine fins.

It does have one, look on the pass side by the turbo it comes out of the aluminum pipe on s4's(86-88) and the plastic piece on s5's(89-91), has 2 large hoses, and 1 smaller one, should have a blue sticker saying something like bypass valve or something.
