Bought my First rx-7 it's a 1991

Bought my first rx-7 which also is my first car
The car is a 1991 and the car cost me $800.00,
and the only thing that it needs is a clutch because the clutch is out of it,
all the switches work which is great
heres some pics

Since I'm a drifter which is a good cheap clutch to buy for drifting

I doubt your car has lsd unless the previous owner put it in. From the pics, im guessing its a S5 NA? Well, the nonturbos didnt come with it unless it was a GTUs, and there was no GTUs in 91. The rear end should have a Limited Slip Differential Tag on the fill plug.

The Exedy clutch can be found on ebay for very cheap. Exedy is the best clutch at its price range.

btw, my car first car was a 91 coupe also, but now i got a White 90 TII. Good luck with the car, because you'll need it like us all. and be sure to do a full tune-up.

Spark Plugs, Spark Wires, Tranny & Rear End Fluid, Engine Oil, Air Filter, Coolant, Fuel Filter. You dont know for sure how the previous owner treated it, so you just gotta go new on stuff, and I like to get good ****, because I hate spending money on OEM when i can make a extra push to get the good stuff.

Btw, FC's handles really well if you can handle its low polar moment, it drifts pretty good. So be sure to bring your A Game all the time, because the FC can oversteer very crazy if you let it. It grips really well, and love how fast the response is. The car really chooses its driver i like to think. at first it was kinda difficult, because i had a 91 Miata with 1.8 engine for a while, but got used to it after practice with my new 90 TII. Good Luck though.

The words good, cheap, and drifting should never be used in the same sentence...

The Factory Service Manual is available for download in the FAQ. It is the most important source of information you have on this car and contains procedures for almost everything you will need to do. Full tuneup specifications are also covered.

I got an exedy clutch too and its quite grippy. I copped it from Mazdaformance for $145 with everything!

Contrats on the rx7. S5, lighter rotors more HP, same rotary taste!

The matter of fact im gonna practice with the car in a huge empty lot first
get use to it with used tires once i get the hang of it buy new tires do the same
because it would have a diffrent feel to it once i get use to it go to the touges
It sound easy but it not its gonna take some time

I might buy a LSD but which is a good cheap one and were to get one
what are good cheap new tires for drifting

It would be cool if there were a auto parts place that has all of these things it would make it a lot easier than searching, asking, and worring if the part will ever be mailed to you

Im pretty sure the car doesnt have an LSD. Its only rumored that the 1991 with all options came with LSD (FAQ) other than that. you can also find out by checking the Diff and see if it has an "LSD oil" tag thingy on it. If youre anywhere near the Bay, i might have a friend who has a LSD for sale =)

Try to download Drift bible by the drift king "keiichi tsuchiya:, very good tutorial.
For ebrake drift, you would need ot time it well or else the ebrake wont do much. I wouldnt know how to instruct you by words ,so Drift Bible will be a very good source to learn.
