Boost/VAC N/a question

I have my boost gauge hooked up to my NA (currently NA, turbo in progress)...And i read somewhere that the normal Idle vac was 15-20vac. My Idle vac is at about 14...I dont think that my engine is suffering from low compression, because its a fresh rebuild (about 8k miles on rebuild). Could it be slightly lower vac-reading due to my intake beind ported with my removed 6pi system (removed sleeves as well)
I understand the intake on turbo cars is setup differently with no 6pi system or VDI.
So what im asking, is 14vac for idle too low for mysetup? (im also using an autometer boost gauge, so it COULD be innacurate)

No 14 is not bad, I see you from washington, different elevations make different vac pressure. When I went up north my vac went to almost 30 and when Im here at home its alway between 15-20. You should be fine.

Where you have the vac gauge hooked up will also factor in the readings...

I would take this over the elevation.... Im at about the same and hit 20 normaly on my TII.

Where did you connect it? There is no single vac nipple on a NA that connects both the primary and secondary intake runners, you have to T 2 together. (From what I remember)

Mine seems to work perfectly fine T'd into the boost sensor line. 17 1/2 at idle, barely pegs 0 on a romp, 23 throttle lift off, 12-14 during freeway cruise...That's in the really HEAVY air of Houston, lol...
